Picking, shipping, customs and returns – the entire supply chain from a single source

In the industrial park of Düsseldorf-Lierenfeld, Kloepfel 4PL Solutions recently opened a new warehouse with comprehensive warehousing and logistics services especially for medium-sized companies and startups. For example, online stores can outsource all their logistics processes to the provider, starting with order picking, customs clearance and returns management. The secure storage and logistics of hazardous goods is also part of the value-added services.

On an area of 2,000 m², equipped with 1,824 storage locations, modern floor conveyors and optimized racking systems, Kloepfel 4PL Solutions offers a customized all-in-one solution for all storage and logistics needs of industrial and mail-order warehouse customers as well as startups and pure online stores.

Denise Roggenbuck, Head of Fourth Party Logistics, says: “Warehouse logistics is an essential part of goods management in companies. But organizing a warehouse in-house comes with a host of challenges – from staff recruitment and warehousing to optimizing outbound goods. This is exactly where our warehouse logistics outsourcing concept comes in.

Online store: startup drinkGUYA outsources the entire logistics chain

For example, Kloepfel 4PL Solutions handles the entire fulfillment, including warehousing, picking and returns, for tea producer drinkGUYA. The startup’s customers can buy various types of caffeinated tea from its online store. The orders are then selected, assembled, packaged, labeled and shipped accordingly by Kloepfel 4PL Solutions’ employees in Düsseldorf-Lierenfeld.

“This fulfillment, which is tailored to us, is crucial for the smooth processing of orders and the satisfaction of our customers. While Kloepfel 4PL Solutions takes care of the complete warehouse and logistics processes, we can focus on our marketing to continue growing,” says Sebastian Freidank, Managing Director of drinkGUYA.

    Outsourcing international supply chains

Companies can even outsource their global logistics chains to Kloepfel 4PL Solutions. Customers benefit from holistic logistics management – whether by land, sea or air.

Roggenbuck explains, “Here, depending on the customer’s wishes, we take care of all issues, such as customs clearance, goods flow control, operational purchasing, invoicing, and offer expert advice on all logistics topics – whether in Germany, Europe, or worldwide.”

Kloepfel 4PL Solutions is part of the Kloepfel Group, which specializes in purchasing and supply chains. In 2023, the consultants made it onto the American business magazine Forbes’ list of “World’s Best Management Consulting Firms” for the second year in a row.
